Rick and I had the pleasure of visiting Reno for two days on a business trip. While there we discovered some fascinating treasures, most notable to us was the Atlantis Steakhouse!
Reno is a quaint town, known for more than gambling, that offers many activities, fine dining, and even high adventure. Located approximately 45 minutes away from Lake Tahoe, there is much to be discovered. While researching what an area offers I always visit Trip Advisor or Viator where one can locate a variety of things to do in any city in the world.
We had limited time there so chose to walk around the city along the river side. We then indulged in a luxurious culinary experience at the Atlantis Steakhouse nestled inside the casino.
After we were seated the waitress handed us a delicate paper bag for each of us where we could place our face masks. I’ve never been offered such a thing at any restaurant where I’ve been able to dine throughout the entire Covid-19 pandemic. Needless to say I was very impressed with the attention to detail. Even though the restaurant was very elegant it was incredibly comfortable.
We began our feast with the cheese platter which turned out to be quite a surprise to both of us. Vanilla infused honeycomb with soft mozzarella and burrata cheeses on cranberry pistachio bread will make you feel like royalty! I can’t even begin to imagine how one would create it but I am glad someone did. It blended so nicely with our cheeses and breads. I’m sad I didn’t get a picture of it.
The menu even shares this helpful tip, “For complete enjoyment of your dinner, we recommend that you leave your mobile device with us at the Hostess Stand where we will gladly charge it for you. Reading glasses, shawls and purse hooks are available for your dining comfort.” What restaurant offers you reading glasses so you may see the menu in its entirety?
So if you find yourself in Reno spoil yourself and visit the Atlantis! This restaurant will do everything possible to ensure that one is enveloped in a most relaxing and enjoyable experience.
Naturally we were too full to eat dessert so we weren’t able to experience their creations but we were each rewarded with a breakfast coffee cake to take home. What a delightful ending to the most perfect of meals.
