When we want a romantic get-away we are never disappointed by our favorite bed and breakfast, the Blue Boar Inn in Midway UT.
You can get a Dickensian themed room, have access to a world class restaurant and be treated to a full and hearty breakfast without ever leaving this cozy and romantic inn.
The quaint restaurant has distanced the tables from other parties so one may feel comfortable and safe. The music was soft and romantic so as not to be so imposing upon our conversations. We never felt like we had to rush through our meal. In fact, quite the opposite. Traditionally European meals are eaten in courses and are not rushed. It’s an experience. Time is not an issue here and it makes for one enjoyable meal. It doesn’t hurt that the acclaimed chef has amassed numerous awards for his master creations.
A stunning balcony overlooking the restaurant. The adjacent wall displays a variety of decorations from the medieval era such as crossbows.
An amuse bouche introducing us to the amazing culinary delights our chef would continue to provide.
My husband talks about trying some of the other dishes, but typically ends up ordering the lamb chops. It isn’t hard to see why.
While the dish on the right looks like a fettuccine alfredo, it’s really macaroni and cheese in disguise with the most tantalizing and delectable sauce I’ve ever had. This is not your mom’s Kraft Mac and Cheese!
